A New Studio Space

Over the past few weeks I've been busy moving into a new studio space. Don't worry, I haven't gone far – I've simply moved to another part of the PRSC building. The biggest change is that I now have a much larger room, and I'm already excited by the possibilities it brings.
For the first time in quite a while, I have everything in one place. Previously, my materials, tools, artworks and supplies were spread across three different locations, which often meant a lot of hunting around for things. Now it's all under one roof, making it much easier to work and experiment.
Unpacking has been an adventure in itself. I've rediscovered artwork, sketchbooks and odd treasures that I hadn't seen in years. Some things I'd completely forgotten about, which has been both inspiring and slightly alarming!
The new studio has a really good atmosphere. It's bright, welcoming and feels full of potential. Freddie has claimed the windowsill for people watching.
Having more space means I can finally start thinking about creating larger pieces, something I've wanted to do for a long time but never quite had room for.
There's also enough space to start planning workshops in the future, which is something I'm looking forward to exploring once I'm fully settled in.
As I continue unpacking and sorting through years of accumulated art materials and artworks, I'm beginning to realise I may have enough surplus items for a studio sale. Watch this space – there could be some interesting finds looking for new homes.
For now, it's back to unpacking boxes and figuring out where everything lives. I'm looking forward to seeing what this new chapter brings.
