FAQS
Where are you based?
I work from a studio space in the People's Republic Of Stokes Croft in the centre of Bristol, SW England.
Can I visit the studio?
Yes, by appointment only. If you would like to view a particular piece prior to purchase please let me know in advance of your visit.
Is the studio accessible?
Unfortunately not. The PSRC is an old building. There is on street parking outside with parking meters on a first come first served basis. The entrance is narrow and awkward. The studio is on the first floor of the building accessed by a long steep flight of stairs. There is a single unisex toilet. The studio space is in a private room but shared with another business. There are chairs available if you need to sit and drinks are available. If visiting the studio is not an option for you do get in touch anyway and we could make other arrangements. If there is something you need to help your visit go smoothly let me know.
Do you take commissions?
Occasionally yes. Please feel free to get in touch.
Do you use environmentally friendly materials?
My collages, assemblages and mixed media work are all made from items destined for landfill. I use a lot of found items in my work including paint. I like to use FSC approved papers for prints. The majority of the packaging I use is recycled and recyclable. I love websites like Freecycle and Gumtree as it gives me opportunities to use things that otherwise would get thrown away. I save and reuse every bit of packaging that comes into the studio, like bubblewrap and boxes, and when I have to buy something I buy recycled packaging. I am working to reduce the level of single use plastic used in the studio which currently is quite low but I think I can do better.
