FAQS

How has the coronavirus changed your practice?

At the moment I am only sending out items that don't involve me going to a post office and getting stuck in a queue. I am taking solo nocturnal walks to the postbox so I have made the larger, more expensive items unavailable for the meantime. I am not sending anything overseas due to slower shipping times. Hopefully things will return to normal in a couple of months. In the meantime I am tidying the studio (believe me it needs it) and concentrating on my mental health as I am vulnerable and isolating alone with no one but 3 cats for company. Thank goodness my studio is at home. Stay safe everyone Lx

Where are you based?

I live and work in the centre of Bristol, England.

Can I visit the studio?

Unfortunately it is not possible to accept visitors on a drop in basis but if you wish to visit and purchase work please send me a message.

Do you take commissions?

Yes. Send me a message through the contact form giving me a rough idea of what you have in mind size/style and I will get back to you. Once we have both agreed to go ahead a non refundable deposit of 50% is required with the remainder required on completion.

Do you use environmentally friendly materials?

My collages, assemblages and mixed media work are all made from items destined for landfill. I use a lot of found items in my work including paint. I like to use FSC approved papers for prints. The majority of the packaging I use is recycled and recyclable. I love websites like Freecycle and Gumtree as it gives me opportunities to use things that otherwise would get thrown away. I save and reuse every bit of packaging that comes into the studio, like bubblewrap and boxes, and when I have to buy something I buy recycled packaging. I am working to reduce the level of single use plastic used in the studio which currently is quite low but I think I can do better. I also work hard to reduce my carbon footprint. I don't drive so use trains and busses to deliver works. When I do local markets I load up a festival trolley and go by foot. It is also good exercise.
